About Me
Hi, I’m Rita Mangan.
I help people feel better from the inside out — starting with their gut.
My passion for health and wellness is deeply personal. Born to Malay and British heritage, I’ve spent half my life in the UK and half in Malaysia. Growing up between two cultures taught me to love food, movement, and connection — but also showed me how lifestyle choices can deeply affect our health.
In 2015, my world turned upside down when I lost two meters of my intestines due to a sudden volvulus. I was forced to rebuild my health from scratch — dealing with chronic gut issues, anxiety around food, and fear of what my body could or couldn’t handle. The challenges I went through soon led me to my purpose: to help others care for their gut health, so they can live with more energy, confidence, and joy.
After years abroad, I returned to Malaysia with a mission — to inspire change. With rising rates of obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic diseases, I believe we need simple, practical tools to build long-term health. Through education, movement, nutrition, and small daily habits, I want to help Malaysians (and beyond!) reconnect with their bodies and feel good again.
Today, I wear a few hats: Nutrition & Lifestyle Coach, Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher, and founder of HGHY Nutrition — which stands for “Healthy Gut, Happy You”. I also created My Daily Greens, a prebiotic and superfood powdered drink to help support digestion and make gut health easy for everyone.
I believe health shouldn’t feel restrictive — it should feel good, taste good, and fit into your life. Whether it’s daily movement, balanced meals, or mindset shifts, thriving is possible.
And when I’m not teaching or coaching, you’ll probably find me traveling in search of amazing food, trying new recipes in the kitchen, or on my yoga mat with a matcha latte close by.
